Things have been very quiet on this end and it’s because of this right here that you’re seeing now. How do you like the new blog? I am so excited to be sharing this great news with you guys because after months of work, it’s now here, ready to be unveiled!
Everyone, meet the new Eleven Red.
A revamp was long overdue and so I dropped off the radar a little as we went through new designs, decided on new themes and most importantly, took the plunge of renaming and rebranding the entire site.
It was a huge decision for me to make because there were so many things to take into consideration: Did I want to retain the name, keep the old posts, keep doing what I’ve always been doing, or try something new?
Then I remembered an essay I wrote in high school where I said, in my sixteen-year-old’s choice of words, that change is the only thing that’s constant in our lives and almost immediately got my answer. It’s time to move forward with a new concept.
You’ll have noticed it now comes with a brand new name to boot because it’s about time I, along with the blog, embraced change. It’s fresher and punchier, everything I hope the new site will be as we move forward together.
I’ve been deliberating for a really long time the direction I wanted to see this blog go, how it’s going to grow along with me. As I grew older, the more I realised I didn’t want every single detail of my life splashed across the Internet for all to pick apart. I love writing, but it didn’t mean I had to document every single thing that was going on in my life.
I returned to the very reason why I started blogging in my efforts to move forward — this space will now be a place for me to express myself. That was how it all started, it just metamorphosed in some way into a digital diary along the way and it’s about time I trimmed the frills and kept it as its original objective — an outlet of expression and nothing more.
There are many things I hope to implement across the board as time goes by and I will see to it being done in stages. Till then, I hope you’ll enjoy the new space as I do.
Change is always a good thing and I am excited to see more of it. I hope you’ll continue to read along as it happens! xx.
